General Requirements
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree or HR Certification required.
EXPERIENCE:
3+ years in a relevant position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift 25 lbs., bend, squat, and climb stairs several times a day.
Job Duties
Lead and manage the HR department.
Run HR’s Level 10 (L10) and HR & Finance Biweekly Alignment meetings.
Manage full-cycle recruiting, ensuring staffing needs are met.
Approve Hiring Request Forms and oversee compensation analyses.
Manage relationships and contracts with third-party staffing agencies.
Own and oversee New Hire Orientation.
Manage the termination process.
Manage pay structures, bonuses, and incentives.
Conduct biweekly payroll preparation.
Manage benefit offerings and administration.
Review and approve benefit invoices, ensure deduction accuracy, and perform annual true ups of benefit policies.
Oversee 401(k) and Workers' Compensation audits.
Manage time off policies, holidays, and per diems.
Conduct annual Compensation Analysis for the Leadership Team.
Manage the performance review and quarterly People Analyzer process and tools.
Provide coaching on complex HR matters, ensuring HR Generalists can guide on routine policies.
Facilitate manager training and leadership development as needed.
Collect, analyze, and manage compliance changes related to legislation and guidance.
Manage compliance-related training.
Oversee HR policies, procedures, and Team Member Handbook updates.
Manage the storage, retention, and auditing of personnel, personal, medical, and I-9 files.
Take pulse of Team Members, management, and departmental relations.
Address Team Member concerns and support crucial conversations and disciplinary actions.
Manage Team Member recognition programs.
Support company-wide events and culture-building initiatives.
Provide encouragement and guidance to Team Members and management.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Understand, fully support, and demonstrate Wasco’s mission statement, core values, and operating principles.
Adhere to all Manager Expectations.
Skills & Abilities
Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook, with the ability to create reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and collaborative documents efficiently.
HR Knowledge & Expertise: Solid understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory compliance, with the ability to apply this knowledge in policy development and decision-making.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Approachable, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels, provide clear guidance, and facilitate crucial conversations.
Procedure & Policy Writing: Strong ability to draft, update, and refine HR policies, procedures, and documentation with clarity and consistency.
Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Capable of analyzing complex HR issues, identifying solutions, and making informed decisions that align with company policies and values.
Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead and develop the HR team, delegate responsibilities effectively, and ensure accountability in meeting HR objectives.
Attention to Detail & Organization: Highly organized with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation, compliance reporting, and personnel records.
Confidentiality & Professionalism: Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with discretion, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism in all HR functions.
Adaptability & Critical Thinking: Capable of navigating changes in labor laws, company policies, and workforce dynamics while maintaining an agile and strategic HR approach.
Language Skills: Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English fluently; additional language skills are a plus.
$85,000-90,000/year
